ShortWave Project.2 :28/01/25: learn Chinese to the dulcet tones of 80's euro-pop and number stations!

 Since last adding to this project, I have been thinking more about intuition and innate truths underneath the majority acceptance which only appear through trust in one's limbs, notions and sudden senses. Maybe this will come through today.

In this week's iteration of the project I will only be noting down human voices and real world words that I can hear over the airwaves tonight. There's only so many times that I can say the phrase "sci-fi sounds".

Shortwave Project 2. : 28/01/2025 19:31 : learn Chinese to the dulcet tones of 80's euro-pop and number stations!

SW 1 L-> R

Immediately there is speech but the pitch is down with lots of distortion. Sounds like a one way conversation (at 3.65). Most likely radio coms and not a commercial station.

Lots of variation in "junk noise" today. It's usually more interesting at night with less sun energy getting in the way of signals.

SW 2 R->L

Some lovely variation in sound here in tuning, recorded and put on SoundCloud here .

Number station at 5.15, can't make out exact words (if you don't know what that is, look it up).

Talk radio in a language that I don't recognise.

80s music station.

SW 3 L->R

Noise of a satellite signal over classical piano playing. Next Siouxsie and the Banshees that morphs into Arabic music without tuning changes (at 5.90).

Some Chinese micro-tonal music at 6.05.

SW 4 R->L

More pop stations where I don't recognise the language .

German informational channel giving out its email incase you have any questions. They also gave out the address of their base in Berlin incase you want to knock on the door to ask them anything.

despite residing in China for two decades now one of my biggest regrets isn't earning Chinese- for him the key is to be open minded- accept the differences and then you won't have a culture shock, of course if you're judgmental then you will struggle- as long as his football club continues to extend- striving to improve- truly a testament of passion or testament- at round table China we'll see you next time- This is CGN radio, hear the difference
